Episode 81 Clifton Chenier

Happy New Year 2024! I’ve decided to be more active in writing this blog.

As the first music episode on my podcast channel in 2024, I chose Clifton Chenier, the king of Zydeco which is a local music in Louisiana.

I found Zydeco in 1990 soon after I read an article about some local music in Texas and Louisiana which was featured in “Music Magazine” in Japan. During my stay in Tulsa, OK, I went to a record shop and asked a clerk which album I should buy. The clerk taught me the album, “I’m Here.” Immediately after that, I started to dive deeper into the swamp of Zydeco.

Enjoy the first music episode in 2024, episode 81 Clifton Chenier. Your comments are always welcome.

  1. I’m looking forward to following your blog. It can give me good ideas for my blog. I know very little about zydeco music. Thanks for sharing the music of Clifton Chenier. It reminds me of New Orleans. I like how your podcasts introduce us to all styles of music.
